Pizza Dough

Makes: 2 large pizza bases


INGREDIENTS

2 ⅔ cups / 400g plain flour

1 tbsp FreshLife Wheat Gluten

2 tsp dried yeast

1½ tsp salt

1 cup warm water

1½ tsp honey

3 tbsp olive oil


METHOD

  • Place flour, wheat gluten, yeast and salt in a bowl and mix. Gradually add the water, honey and olive oil, then turn out onto a floured surface and knead dough for 8-10 minutes or until smooth.

  • Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with cling wrap. Place in a warm place to rise for approx. 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.

  • Knead dough gently for a few minutes to remove some air. Divide dough in two and roll out pizza bases on a floured surface. Place on oiled trays.

  • Brush bases with a little oil, add sauce and toppings and bake in a pre-heated oven, 210°C, for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
