Berry Chia Jam

 

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ Tbsp FreshLife Black Chia Seeds

2 cups of frozen berries (raspberries, strawberries or blueberries), thawed

2 Tbsp water

1-2 Tbsp maple syrup (or honey)

1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)

METHOD

  • Place all the ingredients in a small pan and warm over a medium heat.  Stir frequently for a few minutes until the berries soften and break down.

  • Remove pan from the heat and check the sweetness, add more maple syrup if desired.

  • Allow to cool uncovered. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
